oUR STORY

India’s coffee story is centuries old, shaped in the shaded hills of Karnataka and carried forward across regions such as Chikmagalur, Coorg, Araku, and Wayanad. Unlike coffee grown in open fields, much of Indian coffee develops beneath layered tree canopies, surrounded by pepper, cardamom, fruit trees, and native forest. This slower, shaded cultivation gives the coffee depth, balance, and a character closely tied to the land.

Yet Indian coffee remains far less recognized than it deserves to be. Too often, it is hidden inside blends or overlooked in conversations about specialty coffee. Aroha was created to change that.

We seek out distinctive Indian coffees from estates, small farms, and growing communities, choosing each lot for its origin, process, and expression in the cup. In Arizona, our head roaster brings more than 30 years of experience to every batch, developing each roast around the coffee itself rather than forcing every origin into the same profile.

Our mission is to give Indian coffee a stronger place on the world stage. We want every bag to carry more than flavor. It should carry the story of its region, the work behind the harvest, and the care required to brew it well.
